St Luke's Pre-school is a sessional pre-school offering 30 hours per week. We take children between the age of 18 months and the academic year in which they turn 3 years old. We are unable to offer places to children of school nursery age. Please contact us for availability for your child's age.

Children can attend as many hours as parents require, up to the full 30 hours, with a minimum of 3 hours either for a core morning session or afternoon session. Any child will still be required to attend a minimum of 2 sessions per week as set out in our policies. If a child stays after 12:00 noon, they will require a pack lunch - except Thursday when we close at 12.30pm.
We have a team of up to 8 staff working at Pre-school. Pre-school is run by Danielle Wright who has over 20 years’ experience in the childcare sector.
We have themes that we cover in each half term, such as Spring, Growing, Shapes, Numbers, Winter, Animals, Summer and of course we celebrate all festivals. We love any excuse for a party! We celebrate children's birthdays as well and although we are a healthy eating pre-school we do allow cake to be sent in for birthdays, to share with their friends.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and we keep records on the children which are shared with their receiving Nursery and School. We keep online Learning Journals for all the children, which you will be given access to and you will be able to see some of the things they do during their time with us, photos, videos and written observations. You can purchase a hard copy of the document when you leave.
We are an all-inclusive pre-school and actively work with the parents to make sure all the children settle and enjoy their experience at St Luke's. Pre-school welcomes comments and feedback from the parents and carers of our children.
